Mahdi Belcaid is an expert in forensic data science, combining deep knowledge of artificial intelligence with practical applications in security and data analysis. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and has held notable positions including Executive Director at the Hawai‘i Data Science Institute and Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in Information & Computer Sciences and the Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology.
Mahdi’s recent focus has been on developing and implementing language models—advanced AI tools used to automate tasks like document analysis, data classification, and the creation of intelligent chatbots. These projects serve high-security sectors, applying AI to enhance data processing and security measures efficiently.
