Workforce funders collaborative · Hawaii and national foundations
A group of respected Hawaii and national private foundations pooled their resources to reinvent how they fund workforce development: building a broad alliance, backing evidence-based initiatives, focusing advocacy, and opening pathways to high-quality local jobs. Hawaii State Department of Health · Emergency funding redesign
Drawing on its learnings from COVID-19, DOH set out to re-examine how it funds the response to health emergencies, so that community-based organizations can reach Hawaii’s most vulnerable populations faster. GUILD supported this redesign, including the exploration of an intermediary organization that works within the limits of procurement-based funding.
